Letter to Kim Jong Un from Participants in 25th Paektusan Prize International Figure Skating Festival

| Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on Thursday received a letter from Edvin Marton on behalf of the Russian, French, Italian and Canadian figure skaters and from Mikhail Koroliuk on behalf of the Belarusian Figure Skating Team, who are participating in the 25th Paektusan Prize International Figure Skating Festival for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star (the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il). The letter said that it is the greatest honor and fortune for them to take part in the festival and celebrate with the Korean people the 75th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il. It noted that the festival which is being held on a grand scale every year is a gathering of friendship where excellent figure skaters from various countries across the world can celebrate the Day of the Shining Star, the greatest national holiday of the Korean people, and can share figure skating technique and experience under the idea of independence, peace and friendship. It pointed out that by displaying a high level of figure skating demonstration, they will contribute to the celebration of the Day of the Shining Star more jubilantly and bring joy to the Korean people who are engaged in the struggle for building a powerful country. |
