The festival brought together DPRK figure skaters and those from Russia, Belarus, Canada, France and Italy who proved successful in domestic and international games.

All the players showed well their reverence for leader Kim Jong Il through performances.

Kim Kwang Ho, deputy secretary of the Skating Association of the DPRK, told KCNA:

The performers successfully carried out jumps, skating and other movements to show their high technical and special skills, which was applauded by spectators.

The annual festival is an international sports festival of great significance.
