The Korean magic took its shape in the periods of the Three Kingdoms (early 3rd century B.C.-middle 7th century A.D.) and was further developed in the period of Koryo (918-1392).

Typical were such numbers as breathing out fire and swallowing knife together with many functional juggleries.

According to old books including "Rijo Silok", chronicles of the Feudal Joson Dynasty (1392-1910), the magic showed more variety in the period. Unknotting, puzzle and other admirable pieces were created.
