Appeal of Joint Conference of DPRK Supported by UK Bodies

Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, Korean Friendship Association UK and the British preparatory committee for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu made public a joint statement on Jan. 21 in support of the appeal adopted at the joint conference of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations.

The statement said respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address indicated clear and realistic ways of achieving the reunification of Korea.

It reflects the noble patriotic intention of Kim Jong Un working heart and soul to achieve the independent reunification of the country, the statement noted.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the historic July 4 joint statement and the 10th anniversary of the October 4 declaration, it said, and went on:

In this regard, the joint conference of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations adopted an appeal to the whole Korean nation.

We fully support this appeal.

We bitterly denounce the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces for blocking the way of reunifying Korea.

The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces should stop the anti-DPRK war drills.

The implementation of the appeal will help make a signal breakthrough in the drive for the reunification of Korea and it will make a positive contribution to the global peace.
