Attending the events were Chairwoman of the Association Choe Un Bok, its officials, representatives of affiliated associations, members of the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China and the Federation of Young Korean Nationals in China, Koreans in Shenyang, the DPRK consul general and officials of the consulate general in Shenyang.

Present there on invitation were the head of the veteran lecturers' group of the Chinese People's Volunteers, compatriots in various circles and personages in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City.

A meeting of the General Association of Koreans in China to celebrate the Day of the Shining Star was held in Shenyang, China on Feb. 15.

Choe Un Bok said that the life of Kim Jong Il was a noble life of a peerless patriot who devoted his all to the country and its people only.

She called on the Association and Koreans in China to make all efforts for the prosperity of the country and accelerate the advance for opening a new phase of independent reunification.

A letter to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting the participants watched a Korean film showing Kim Jong Un providing energetic leadership over the work for bringing a bountiful and happy life to the people.

Then followed an art performance and a reception.

A photo and book exhibition took place on Feb. 14.

The Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association on Feb. 12 held a seminar on the exploits Kim Jong Il performed for national reunification and the overseas compatriots movement.
