Organization for Building Statue of Forced Labor Draftee Formed in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Trade Unions of south Korea formed a committee for promoting the erection of a statue of forced labor draftee at the "National Assembly" on February 14, according to the south Korean online paper Tongil News. An inaugural declaration called for cherishing the memory of Korean workers who met unjust and grievous deaths, demanding the official apology from the Japanese government and making a proper settlement of the past history. It underscored the need to check Japan from turning into a military power, and set a peaceful order to prevent another tragedy on this land. |
