According to the result of a draw, both teams belong to Group I together with the Erchim team of Mongolia.

The April 25 team will play home match with Erchim team on March 14 and away match on May 17 and the Kigwancha team on April 4 and on May 31 respectively.

The first match between the April 25 team and the Kigwancha team will take place in Pyongyang on April 18 and the second one on May 3.

Both of teams have proved successful in major national games, including the Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games and the DPRK Championships, every year.

Last year, the April 25 team took the first place in the men's premier soccer league for Torch Cup and the Kigwancha team in men's football event of the sports team section during the 13th People's Games.

The April 25 team advanced to the semifinals of Asia Club Championship in 1991.
