Speakers at the conference said the agreement was no more than a report on the results of the south Korea-U.S. joint working group's operation.

Calling for totally nullifying the agreement, they urged the "National Assembly" to make a comprehensive investigation into it to shed light on its illegality, declare its nullification and punish the very one responsible for it.

The press conference was followed by another conference outside the Lotte Department Store, where they demanded the Lotte Group halt the offer of land for THAAD.

Meanwhile, inhabitants of Sosong-ri, Chojon-myon of Songju County in North Kyongsang Province reportedly blocked in token of protest the road leading to Songju Golf Links designated as the site for THAAD deployment on the same day.
