The Central Tree Nursery of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection built a new outdoor cultivation ground with big capacity, making it possible to raise the production of saplings ten times.

Yangdok County newly built three hectare-wide outdoor cultivation ground which introduced a sprayer system based on gravity-fed irrigation and made good arrangement of sapling storehouse and greenhouse.

Jangyon County built the tree nursery building covering more than 2,000 square meters with all necessary conditions for sapling production.

Mother tree nurseries in Ichon, Hoeyang, Unsan, Tongchang, Yonthan, Singye counties and other regions were remodeled into sapling production bases equipped with outdoor cultivation grounds, circular cutting bed, greenhouses and humus-pot seedlings production facilities.

Officials and workers of many units, including the Tree Nursery No.122 run by the Korean People's Army, the central tree nurseries of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and the Ministry of Urban Management, introduced the latest technology to remodel their tree nurseries.
