Nullification of "Agreement" on Sexual Slavery Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and bereaved families, students, citizens and lawmakers from opposition parties of south Korea held a memorial service for the victims of the sexual slavery in Kwangju, Kyonggi Province on Feb. 25, according to south Korean press reports. At the service, speakers said lots of Korean women were drafted to be sexual slaves for the Imperial Japanese Army and most of them were mercilessly killed by the Japanese imperialists. Underscoring the need to make efforts for the proper settlement of the rights issue of the victims of sexual slavery, they declared what the people demand is for the Japanese government to make an official apology and legal reparation. They held that the "agreement" with Japan on the sexual slavery issue should be nullified and scrapped without fail. |
