As soon as it was reported on Feb. 27 that Lotte group decided to offer its golf course in Songju as the site for THAAD deployment and made a contract on site exchange with the puppet defense ministry, the Songju Committee for Struggle against THAAD Deployment held a candlelight meeting outside the Songju County Office that day.

The participants expressed their will to continue the struggle against THAAD deployment to the last.

They decided to wage a legal struggle and take a swift countermeasure whenever the defense ministry shows a new move.

They declared that they would check the deployment of THAAD by putting under control the road leading to the Songju Golf Course and disturbing the freight transport.

Similar actions were also staged in other parts of south Korea.
