Kim Jong Il's Exploits Lauded by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers gave special write-ups, illustrated with portraits of smiling leader Kim Jong Il and his photos, to his 75th birth anniversary.

The February issue of the Bulgarian newspaper Iskra noted that Kim Jong Il pursued his unique Songun politics and thus firmly defended socialism in the DPRK and made a turning-point in the national reunification.

The February issue of the Belarusian newspaper Bperyod said that he devoted all his life to the people's happiness and the country's prosperous development.

The Feb. 14th issue of the Thai Xing San Daily praised his matchless political and leadership abilities that were more strikingly displayed at the end of the 20th century when the Cold War was epitomized to the DPRK-U.S. confrontation.

The Feb. 11th issue of the Tanzanian newspaper Uhuru said that his birth was an event of great significance in the destiny and development of not only the Korean people but also the world progressives.

The Feb. 10th issue of a Senegalese newspaper noted that he formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as the integral system of ideology, theory and method of Juche through his energetic ideo-theoretical activities to clearly show the road ahead of the progressive mankind.

The Feb. 13th issue of the Mozambican newspaper Noticias stressed that he defended the destiny of the country and the nation from the imperialists' anti-DPRK moves, intensified with the collapse of socialism in some countries as an opportunity, and pushed ahead with the building of a socialist power by dint of single-minded unity.

The Feb. 8th issue of the Guinean newspaper Horoya, the Feb. 14th issue of the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahrar and the Feb. 13th issue of the Zambian newspaper Zambia Daily Mail praised the exploits of Kim Jong Il who dedicated all his life to the prosperity of the country and its people's happiness and to the global cause of independence.
