Korean Book, Photo, Stamp and Handicraft Exhibitions Held Abroad
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo, stamp and handicraft exhibitions took place in Khabarovsk of Russia, Shanghai and Dandong of China, Jakarta of Indonesia, Velingrad of Bulgaria, Belgrade of Serbia and Callao of Peru to mark the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

On display at their venues were photos showing the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Attending the opening-ceremonies of exhibitions were personages of political and public circles and popular masses of those countries and staff members of DPRK missions.

The vice-chairman of the Khabarovsk City Legislative Assembly expressed the will to more briskly hold cultural events overflowing with the Russia-DPRK friendship, praising Kim Jong Il as a great statesman who is always alive in the hearts of Khabarovsk citizens.

The deputy mayor of Dandong and other personages of China said that Kim Jong Il is a great thinker-theoretician and a prominent statesman who devoted his all to the revolutionary cause of Juche and the cause of national reunification and made great contributions to the development of the Sino-DPRK friendly relations. They added that the Chinese people are remembering him with boundless reverence for the peerlessly great man.

The general secretary of the Peruvian Port Trade Union who is an executive member of the General Federation of Workers said that the exhibition would serve as an important occasion for further deepening the understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries and realizing the cultural exchange and introducing the excellent culture of the Korean nation to the Peruvian people.
