No One Can Pull up DPRK's Exercise of Right to Self-defence: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Under the manipulation of the U.S. the UNSC issued a press statement recently faulting the DPRK's test fire of ground-to-ground medium to long-range strategic ballistic rocket Pukguksong-2 and calling for "additional crucial measure" over "its breach of resolution". Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a commentary terms this U.S.-style brigandish logic that others are not allowed to do things which it can do. The test-fire of the above-said rocket is the DPRK's exercise of right to self-defence which no one can fault, the commentary says, adding: It is well known to the world that the U.S. and its vassal forces' nuclear threat and blackmail and war drills for aggression, which have persisted for the last several decades, are the main factor of compelling the DPRK to have access to nuclear deterrent. The UN has the mission to preserve world peace and security and regards it as the principle of its activities to respect the sovereignty of the countries and not interfere in their territories. Therefore, what it should take issue with is not the DPRK's exercise of right to self-defence but the U.S. and its vassal forces' nuclear war drills against the former. The UNSC has neither justification nor face to pull up the DPRK over its exercise of the right to self-defence as the former has completely lost the principle of impartiality. The UNSC should realize the DPRK's strategic position and the fundamentally changed strategic structure, its result. Despite any mud-slinging, the nuclear force for self-defense of the DPRK, a nuclear power and strategic rocket power in the East, is serving as tremendous deterrent preventing the disaster of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and the region. |
