Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a commentary says the joint military drills are a serious provocation wantonly disturbing peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and pushing the situation to the point of explosion as they reveal their scenario for a nuclear war against the DPRK.

The warmongers are running the whole gamut of rhetoric to justify their saber-rattling at any cost, but they only remind one of a thief crying "Stop the thief!" and are nothing but shameless falsification of reality.

It is none other than the U.S. and the south Korean warmongers that are escalating the tension and increasing the danger of a nuclear war on the peninsula.

Owing to this reckless muscle-flexing of the warmongers in collusion with outside forces, the situation on the peninsula is pushed to the brink of a war.

As long as the U.S. and the puppet warmongers persist in the anti-DPRK nuclear war rehearsals, the DPRK will further bolster up its nuclear deterrent for self-defense to preserve its sovereignty and security and resolutely meet their challenges for aggression.

The DPRK shows no mercy to the aggressors who dare hurt its dignity and sovereignty even a bit.

Should the enemies dare launch a preemptive attack on the DPRK, obsessed with a daydream, it will make a prompt merciless counteraction against them, warns the commentary.
