Kim Jong Un Sends Birthday Spreads to Persons of Merits
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent birthday spreads to Pak Jong Sik, a war veteran living in Kwanhun-dong, Kaesong City on the 90th birthday, and Prof. and Dr. Kim Ju Jin, a researcher and doctor of merit at the Clinical Medicine Institute of the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Hospital on the 80th birthday.

Pak Jong Sik, who was born as son of boatman in River Rakdong in North Kyongsang Province and experienced the sorrow of statelessness before Korea's liberation, joined the People's Army with the will to devotedly defend the country liberated by President Kim Il Sung.

He was awarded the title of DPRK Hero during the Fatherland Liberation War and worked hard as an official in the field of education and people's power organ after the war. After becoming a pensioner, he made an active contribution to the work for encouraging youngsters to live and work in the fighting spirit displayed in the 1950s

President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un made sure that he had the honor to attend the national meeting of heroes, the 4th National Conference of War Veterans and other meetings.

Kim Ju Jin, who was born into a poor peasant family in Riwon County, South Hamgyong Province, devoted himself to the medical science researches and treatment and preventive work with the single desire to live up to the loving care of the great leaders who liberated the country and opened up the road of worthwhile life.

Working at the hospital for more than five decades, he achieved valuable successes in medical science researches and wrote books and successfully conducted a lot of operations, making a positive contribution to glorifying the socialist healthcare system.
