Seen standing before the bust was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ri Myong Su, O Su Yong, Choe Pu Il, Vice-Premier Jon Kwang Ho, Kim Jong Im, director of the Party History Institute of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions and bereaved family members.

Placed before the bust were wreaths in the names of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

Also placed there were wreaths in the names of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, ministries and national institutions and party and power bodies in Pyongyang and bouquets.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of O Jin U.
