They included a congratulatory message-adopting ceremony, meetings, lectures, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Algeria, Ecuador, Venezuela, Tanzania and Angola from February 9 to 25.

On display at the venues of events were photos dealing with the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

There were also works of the great leaders and books and photos introducing the struggle of the Korean army and people.

Such Korean films as "Prospering Pyongyang" were shown.

The chairman of the Ecuadorian preparatory committee for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, who is chairman of the Ecuadorian Cultural Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that Kim Jong Il is the peerless patriot and the great leader as he devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of its people and turned the DPRK into a socialist fortress.

The general coordinator of the Federal Secretariat of the United Left Party of Venezuela, who is chairman of the Venezuelan national preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversaries of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, praised Kim Jong Il as the great master of military affairs and the iron-willed commander who built the DPRK into an invincible politico-ideological and military power.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Algeria.
