Seen in the stamps are old books on Koryo medicine "Hyangyakjipsongbang", "Uibangryuchwi" and "Tonguibogam" and portraits of their writers.

"Hyangyakjipsongbang" introduces medical achievements and folk clinical experience gained till the early 15th century and "Uibangryuchwi" deals with symptoms of common diseases and their treatments, divided into 95 chapters.

"Tonguibogam" (25 volumes) expounds anatomico-physiology of human body, checkup and prevention of different diseases and their curative methods in a systematic way. It made a great contribution to the development of Koryo medicine and world medicine for its scientific accuracy and logicality.

The stamp bureau also published four individual stamps carrying pictures of the Korean tiger.
