S. Korean Women's Organizations Call for Peace against War

Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Women's organizations of south Korea, including the Women Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration and the Women's Solidarity, held a rally for the world women's peace action against THAAD and war in Seoul on Wednesday, according to the south Korean Internet newspaper Tongil News.

A declaration, read out at the rally, said that the women have struggled for a safe, democratic and equal society.

It recalled the military maneuvers that lasted for the past 64 years only stirred up resistance and conflict, far from promoting peaceful reunification.

The rally adopted an appeal for rejecting all war maneuvers, working for peace, reunification and national prosperity by concerted efforts of the nation and waging the sustainable women's movement for peace against war.
