The statement referred to the fact that the U.S. kicked off undisguised war games aimed at bringing a nuclear disaster to the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia despite the repeated warnings of the DPRK, adding:

The Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization strongly opposes and denounces the military drills being staged by the U.S. and south Korea.

The statement said that respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address clarified the stand that the DPRK would continue to bolster up the self-defence capability, the pivot of which is the nuclear force, and the capability for preemptive strike unless the United States and its vassal forces cease their war drills at its doorstep under the disguise of annual ones.

If the U.S. desires true world peace, it should ponder over its saber-rattling.
