Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, officials concerned, youth league officials and youth and students.

The appeal, made by the creators of the Spirit of Kangwon Province to all working people across the country, was read out before speeches.

The speakers stressed the need to fully discharge the mission and duty of the young vanguard in the ongoing campaign for creating Mallima speed.

They called on the young people to create legendary tales about heroic youth in the era of Mallima one after another in the van of the drive for carrying out the leader's behests and defending the Party's policies.

They declared that the youth would demonstrate their mettle before the whole world by creating everything at the world level with locally available raw and other materials and dashing ahead to achieve prosperity.

They also underlined the need to make the work sites for a great upswing alive with a youth drive and make a breakthrough in the most difficult and labor-consuming worksites in response to the Party's call.

They stressed that they would proudly enter the venue of the conference, recording heroic feats in their CVs as befitting masters of the Paektusan youth power under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
