In this regard, Kim Ho Yong, director of the Forest Institute under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, told KCNA:

The machines made with indigenous technology and efforts have been introduced into production at tree nurseries.

Among those machines are root-cutter, sapling-digger, ridging machine, seed-processing machine and mounted drill.

The root cutter is capable of severing roots from saplings in several hectares on a daily average, while the sapling-digger can do the work of ten men a day.

The seed-processing machine helps raise germination rate than ever before and the mounted drill makes it possible to save a great deal of labor in sowing.
