S. Koreans Reject Scheme to Turn Jeju Island into General Military Base

| Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society of south Korea in a commentary on March 12 slammed the puppet military's scheme to turn Jeju Island into a general military base. Referring to the scheme to build a new air base on the island, the commentary said what merits attention is that the military is pushing forward the construction of the base in an undemocratic manner, disregard the residents' opinion. The residents of the island and other people will never allow the military's dangerous attempt to turn the island into an arsenal, it warned. |
