National Archives Bureau Marks Its 70th Birthday
Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- The National Archives Bureau marked its 70th birthday with due ceremony on Wednesday.

President Kim Il Sung founded the first national archives institution on March 11, Juche 36 (1947).

He made sure that data on the army and people's struggle and archives were safely preserved during the Fatherland Liberation War and wisely led the workers in the field of preservation of archives to fulfill their mission and duty, keeping pace with the socialist construction gaining in depth in the post-war period.

Leader Kim Jong Il indicated the orientation and ways to develop the work for preserving archives on a legal basis, noting that the work for preserving state archives is an important job to collect and arrange successes achieved in the revolution and construction and data on the struggle of the popular masses and convey them to posterity.

Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un gave a series of instructions to further improve the work of the State Archives Bureau as required by the developing revolution.
