GS of World Communion of Reformed Churches Sends Letter to U.S. Secretary of State
Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- Chris Ferguson, general secretary of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, recently sent a letter to the U.S. secretary of State.

The letter referred to the fact that the communion has strengthened the worldwide cooperation for the peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula which is of very importance in ensuring the regional and global peace.

And it noted that the communion delegation was deeply moved to witness the achievements made in the fields of science and technology, architecture and the economy and the vigorous people of the DPRK during its visit to it last year.

It also said the delegation could not but regard the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises as a clear expression of the stand for aggression on the DPRK.

The communion urgently urges the U.S. to stop the provocative military exercises and all other countries to opt for the equally respected genuine dialogue for ensuring the lasting peace of Northeast Asia and the U.S. administration to take decisive measures to replace the Armistice Agreement with a peace accord, the letter stressed.

Condemning the inhuman and coldhearted sanctions applied to the DPRK, the letter held that the U.S. government should opt for lifting all the UNSC sanctions and proposing negotiations for an end to the tension in the Korean peninsula and confidence-building.
