Josef Servista, deputy general secretary of the C.C., Czechoslovak Communist Party and vice-chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from Mar. 7 to April 20 and decided to organize remembrance meeting, seminar, film show and other political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung in the period.
