Struggle against THAAD Deployment Waged in Kyonggi Province of S. Korea

| Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- The Action for Checking THAAD Deployment and the Phyongthaek Citizens' Action against THAAD and for Banishing Anthrax Germs in south Korea called a press conference outside the Osan U.S. air-force base in Phyongthaek City, Kyonggi Province on Thursday to protest against the moves of the U.S. and the puppet military for the deployment of THAAD, according to south Korea's Yonhap News. Speakers at the conference stressed that THAAD is harmful as it poses threat to peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia and gives a serious effect on the south Korean economy. They urged the U.S. and south Korean authorities to stop the deployment of THAAD and immediately withdraw the equipment introduced. The organizations waged a demonstration, shouting slogans opposing the deployment of THAAD. |
