Minju Joson Urges Japan to Redress Its Past
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- A girl statue of peace, symbolic of the crimes related to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, was erected in a park in Bayern State in southern Germany on March 8.

Girl statues of peace have been erected in the U.S., Canada, Australia, China and North America and in the Asia-Pacific but it is the first time it was built in Europe.

A commentary of Minju Joson Tuesday says: This hints that the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army will continue to be tabled as an important agenda in the world politics and more girl statues will be erected in different parts of the world.

World public is erecting girl statues in different parts of the world because the settlement of the issue is urgently required for the peace and development of humankind, the commentary says, and goes on:

Japan is sensitively reacting to any slightest moves revealing its dark intention as it abhors admitting its past crimes and fears facing justice.

The Japanese reactionaries have so far run the whole gamut of sleight of hand to check the erection of girl statues, fretting themselves whenever more statues are built in several parts of the world including the U.S. and south Korea.

The fact that more statues are appearing despite Japan's desperate efforts to check their erection suggests something big to the people.

Japan's redemption of its past is not only the will of history but the unanimous demand of the international community.

Japan has to make a bold decision to part with the dirty past and make a new start at an early date, bearing in mind its future hinges on its redemption of past.
