Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to him on Tuesday.

Born in Kim Chaek City of North Hamgyong Province on March 21, Juche 16 (1927), Choe keenly experienced the distress-torn history of the nation from his childhood. He devoted himself to the building of a new country with his single desire to live up to the care of President Kim Il Sung who liberated the country and built a genuine society for the people.

During the Fatherland Liberation War he joined the Korean People's Army and courageously fought in the war. While fighting heroically for the country's reunification, he was arrested by the enemy. However, he didn't abandon the revolutionary principle for 36 years.

Leader Kim Jong Il awarded him the wrist watch bearing the august name of the President, the title of hero of the Republic and the National Reunification Prize in high appreciation of his feats and took warm care of him so that he could lead a happy life in the socialist motherland.

Kim Jong Un bestowed upon him such honor of being invited to the celebrations of the 100th birth anniversary of the President and the 4th National Conference of War Veterans and the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea. And he has taken warm care of him so that he can glorify his life as a pro-reunification patriotic fighter full of energy despite his advanced age.
