The Better Nigeria Progressive Party, the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru and the Yaracuy State Legislative Council of Venezuela awarded the certificate of the title of honorary national leader, international diploma and the highest order to Kim Jong Il.

The national chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressive Party, the Swiss preparatory committee for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea presented gifts to him.

Different preparatory committees for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star grouping figures of political and social circles were organized in many countries and by the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions and the African Regional Committee of Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, and press statements, statements and declarations were released in this regard.

The king and the great queen of Cambodia sent large baskets of flowers to the DPRK embassy in Phnom Penh. Floral baskets were also sent to DPRK embassies in relevant countries by the co-chairman of the Council of the Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Foundation and political parties, organizations, institutions and personages in different countries.
