Nigatu Dagnachew Cherinet, co-chairman of the African Regional Preparatory Committee for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, was elected chairman of the above-said preparatory committee.

The committee set a celebration period from March 15 to April 17 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events praising the exploits of the President for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence.
