U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Drills Denounced by Syria

| Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates released a statement on March 16 in denunciation of the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills against the DPRK. The statement expressed deep concern about the tension escalating on the Korean peninsula and the U.S. and its vassal forces' vicious moves to violate the sovereignty of the DPRK. It went on: The Syrian Arab Republic firmly denounces all forms of joint military drills and smear campaign against the DPRK. Syria will stand firm on the side of the leadership and people of the DPRK waging a dynamic drive. A war crisis should be eliminated on the Korean peninsula and peace and security be safeguarded in the region and the rest of the world. |
