The project includes the construction of 44 skyscrapers, high-rises and multi-storied apartment houses for over 4,000 families and 40-odd public buildings like nursery and kindergarten and the remodeling of more than 70 apartment buildings and public buildings in 90 hectares of area, which doubles the work carried out during the construction of Mirae Scientists Street.

Within 20 days after the start of the construction in April last year, servicepersons and builders removed tens of old buildings and hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of debris and finished excavation for ground concrete tamping.

From late May, frameworks of apartment buildings were completed one after another in different places of the construction site. In particular, the 70-storied skyscraper was framed in 74 days.

As of early September, the interior and exterior plastering reached over 95 percent throughout the construction site, while fast progress was made in remodeling and repairing apartment houses and public buildings and constructing infrastructure.

Though the construction was temporarily interrupted due to the rehabilitation in the flood-hit areas of North Hamgyong Province, the street took its shape thanks to the indefatigable efforts of builders.

Soldier-builders completed the project for tiling outer wall of the 70-storied skyscraper covering over 43,000 square meters within 13 days.

All the achievements made in less than one year are attributable to the devoted efforts of servicepersons and builders who have pushed forward the construction at Mallima speed with the spirit of self-reliance and self-development as the dynamic force.

Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the construction site again some days ago and said that all the proud successes achieved in the construction of Ryomyong Street are the precious fruits of strenuous attacking spirit and infinite mental power of the DPRK army and people who make an inveterate habit of carrying out the tasks given by the party at the time fixed by it and at the level required by it.
