Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to give wide publicity through media to the feats of President Kim Il Sung and hold colorful political and cultural events such as celebration meeting, lecture and photo exhibition on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
