Addresses of solidarity from the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and each regional committees of its Overseas Side Committee were introduced there.

The general meeting discussed an issue of dynamically waging the struggle for ushering in a wide avenue to independent reunification this year marking the 45th anniversary of the July 4 joint statement and the 10th anniversary of the October 4 declaration.

Son Hyong Gun, chairman of the Japanese Regional Committee, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the Japanese Regional Committee had condemned the interference and confrontation moves of foreign forces last year and dynamically waged the struggle for independent reunification.

They stressed that the committee would display its mission and duty in raising a curtain of the second June 15 era for making the respect for and implementation of the great programme for reunification common to the nation a trend of the nation in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself.

An appeal to all the overseas Koreans was adopted at the meeting.
