Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, chairman of the Egyptian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and chairman of the Egypt-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the days from March 19 to April 17 as a celebration period and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events such as seminar on the President's work, seminar on his exploits, photo exhibition and film show in the period.
