Present there were officials of the DPRK Red Cross Society, young RC volunteers, volunteers and officials concerned and members of the delegations of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross active in the DPRK.

Speakers at the ceremony said that planting trees is a patriotic work to carve out future and an important work to prevent natural disasters and make the people's life more affluent.

They noted that the activities of young RC volunteers devoting themselves to tree planting will contribute to building a beautiful world.

The participants planed trees of good species and enjoyed an art performance of schoolchildren.

The spring tree planting campaign will go on throughout the country till April.
