Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- The Women's Society for Achieving Peace held a rally in Seoul on Monday to mark the 20th anniversary of its formation, according to the south Korean online newspaper Tongil News. Speakers at the rally noted that the organization has waged diverse activities for exchange between the women in the south and the north and for peace of the Korean peninsula. They said that the dream of the women in south Korea is to travel freely as far as the north and the dream would surely come true. Today the north-south exchange and cooperation are in a difficult situation but dialogue for peace should not be stopped, they stressed. Saying only positive actions for peace can stop the war, they called on the women to strive hard for achieving peace and building a just society. |
