Remodeled Korean Revolution Museum Opened
Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- The Korean Revolution Museum successfully remodeled as a great center for education in the revolutionary traditions was opened Thursday with due ceremony.

The museum, which compressively deals with the revolutionary history of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, functions as an ideological and spiritual mainstay for the army and people of the DPRK and the greatest national treasure of Kim Il Sung's Korea to glorify the revolutionary idea and exploits of the great leaders forever and hasten the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche under the leadership of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Standing at the museum are the color statue of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Thousands of more historic data and relics bearing witness to the tradition and history of the Korean revolution that has covered the path of victory and glory under the guidance of the great leaders are displayed according to contents and periods. More than 100 rooms are arranged with tens of thousands of historic materials and relics showing the revolutionary careers and feats of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu in a historical and comprehensive manner.

The visual effect and three-dimensional character of exhibits including newly manufactured boards and models are ensured, the form of display and lighting effect are on a high level and historic events and facts in relevant periods are depicted through semi-panoramic pictures.

Present there were Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae, Ro Tu Chol and other leading officials of the party, the state and the army, officials of party, armed forces organs, the Cabinet, power organs, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, and party and power organs and industrial establishments in the city, officials of the units who took part in the remodeling project, builders and officials and employees of the museum.

Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., the WPK, made an opening address.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants went round various rooms of the museum, being briefed on it.
