Spanish Ambassador to DPRK Meets Its Officials Concerned

Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- The Spanish ambassador to the DPRK paid a courtesy call on the vice-minister in charge of Europe of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK and met with officials concerned of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of External Economic Relations and the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both sides exchanged views on the present situation on the Korean peninsula and discussed the issue for developing the bilateral relations.

The DPRK side informed the ambassador of the DPRK's self-defensive measures for coping with the moves of the U.S. driving the situation on the Korean peninsula into the worst situation by introducing lots of nuclear strategic assets and staging the largest-ever Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises aiming at the "beheading operation" and "occupation of Pyongyang" together with south Korean puppet forces.

The ambassador expressed deep concern over the situation on the Korean peninsula bringing to the brink of a war and hoped that the tension would be defused to provide favorable environment for the cooperative relations between the DPRK and European countries.
