Victor Manuel Lucas, international secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of the People of Spain, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and feats of the President and hold colorful political and cultural events such as meeting, seminar, lecture and film show on the occasion of anniversary.
