Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korean Regime of Bringing North-South Ties to Collapse
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- It is an unshakable will of the DPRK to foil the challenge of the anti-reunification forces, improve the north-south relations and pave a broad avenue to independent reunification under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, as required by the trend of times and as desired by all Koreans, says Rodong Sinmun Friday in an article.

Underlining the need to put a definite end to the confrontational policy of the south Korean conservative regime against reunification, the root cause of the collapse of the north-south ties, the article goes on:

The south Korean puppet authorities are now working hard to preserve traitor Park Geun Hye's confrontation policy, being dead-set against the public demand for the repaired north-south relations. They mislead the public opinion by insisting that the north-south ties collapsed due to the steps taken by the DPRK for bolstering its nuclear deterrent for self-defence.

This is just a brazen-faced assertion to shift the blame for the north-south deadlock onto the DPRK, persistently maintain their confrontation policy against reunification and realize their wild ambition for stifling the compatriots in the north at any cost.

As for the above-said steps, they are the best option to defend the sovereignty and peace of the country and the security of the nation from the foolhardy moves of the U.S. to start a nuclear war. It also serves as a guarantee for stability on the Korean peninsula and in other parts of the region.

The DPRK's nuclear deterrent for self-defence is, indeed, a treasure common to the nation which helps independently carve out its destiny and pave an avenue to peace and prosperity.

With no rhetoric can the puppet authorities play down the justice of the DPRK's nuclear deterrent firmly preserving peace on the Korean peninsula and security of the nation and hide their true colors as wreckers of the north-south relations.
