The U.S. says the air refueling to the fighter laid a springboard for carrying out key operations on the peninsula in contingency.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a commentary terms this an indication of the U.S. imperialists' invariable intention to expand the radius of their operation beyond the peninsula and take an absolute military edge over its potential rivals for the purpose of realizing the ambition to dominate the world at any cost.

The air refueling to F-35B, timed to coincide with the expansion of the missile defense system to the Asia-Pacific region, is a clear proof of the U.S. intention to expand the scope of its preemptive attack to other countries, the commentary says, adding:

It is quite natural that the U.S. reckless military act is sparking off vigilance of regional countries as it poses a threat to peace and disturbs the strategic stability in the Korean peninsula and the Asia-Pacific region.

Owing to the U.S. reckless arms buildup to hold an absolute military edge, the Asia-Pacific region has turned into a theater of fierce playing of chicken among big powers, and global peace and security are seriously threatened.

It is natural for the DPRK to bolster its war deterrent for self-defense in every way in order to smash the U.S. reckless military moves and preserve the country's peace and regional stability.

The U.S. should not harbor a foolish daydream that it can stifle the DPRK. That will lead it to doom.
