The festival was attended by at least 80 public service units of ministries and national institutions, Pyongyang and all provinces.

Presented to it were famous dishes, local specialties, world-known dishes and scientific and technical achievements made in developing cuisines and culinary culture of the country.

What drew attention of visitors were the contest of practical skills and demonstration of cooks and waiters and waitresses and cooking skills of students from over 10 universities, including Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce, whose major is culinary art.

O Hyon Hui, a student from Phyongsong University of Technology, told KCNA that she came to gain much experience and deepen her knowledge through the festival, saying she would always remember the day when she gave her premiere at the cooking skills of students.
