At the inaugural ceremony speakers said that they would struggle for probing the truth behind the Jeju April 3 incident, U.S. apology for massacres committed under the U.S. military rule, the regime's reparation for the victims and the bereaved families and amendment of the special law on the Jeju April 3 resistance.

They declared that they would strive to find a solution to the problem concerning the Jeju April 3 incident in solidarity with all forces including political camp, civic, public and academic circles.
