April 15, Juche 1 (1912) when President Kim Il Sung was born was a day of great fortune for the nation on which the bright morning dawned for the country, and a day of great auspicious event for humankind on which the sun of the era of independence was greeted, the letter said.

It praised the President as an outstanding thinker and theoretician and a great man of action who indicated the road ahead of the times and the revolution with the immortal Juche idea and put the modern history on the orbit of independence, and a benefactor of the national resurrection and the founding father of socialist Korea who saved the destiny of the nation by defeating the two formidable imperialisms in one century and built a powerful country, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

It also praised the President as the savior of the life of the Koreans in Japan as he brought the joy of national liberation to the Koreans in Japan who were shedding bitter tears as members of stateless nation after being taken to Japan during the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea and put forward them as full-fledged overseas Koreans of Juche Korea.

It pointed out that the patriotic cause of Chongryon the origin of which was given by the President and which was steered by leader Kim Jong Il with his total dedication has now entered the phase of new development as it is led by Marshal Kim Jong Un, and the history of warm love and blood ties the great Generalissimos forged with the Koreans in Japan are now given a steady continuity.

The letter said that all Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan will cherish the greatest fortune of being blessed by the illustrious leaders and the sun as they are led by Kim Jong Un, and the firm faith that the victory of the Juche cause, the patriotic cause of Chongryon, is science, and fully demonstrate the might of Chongryon along with the homeland making a victorious drive.
