Korean Book, Photo and Craftwork Exhibition Held in Moscow

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A DPRK book, photo and craftwork exhibition opened with due ceremony in Moscow of Russia on April 6, ahead of the Day of the Sun. Put up in front of its venue were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. On display at the exhibition were photos showing the revolutionary careers and exploits of the great leaders and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. There were also their works and books, photos and stamps introducing the DPRK and craftwork showing the wisdom and talents of the Korean nation. Present at the opening ceremony were political and social figures, members of organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and those concerned of the press of Russia and the DPRK ambassador to this country and his embassy officials. The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets at the portraits of the great leaders and paid tribute to them. At the ceremony Smirnova, chairman of the "People's General Council of Russia" who is deputy to the Russian Federation Council, referred to the exploits of President Kim Il Sung for the development of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations and the global peace. V. A. Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, said that Kim Il Sung is founder of the DPRK and eternal leader of the Korean people and that it is a sacred duty of the Russian people, genuine friends of the Koreans, to splendidly celebrate his birth anniversary. Koryakin, vice-chairman of the Regional Social Organization of Russia "Borozino", stressed that Korea's reunification, noble desire of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, would be surely realized before long under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. The exhibition lasts till April 17. |
