Charge d' Affaires ad Interim Pak Myong Ho and staff members of the embassy were on hand.

Pak in his speech referred to the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence and to the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in a drive to create the Mallima speed under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

He expressed the stand to make joint efforts to strengthen the long-standing DPRK-China friendship.

Wang said:

President Kim Il Sung is the great founder and leader of the Korean party, state and army.

He provided the Sino-DPRK friendship. He is always alive in the hearts of the two peoples.

We are convinced that the Korean people will make fresh successes in socialist construction by dynamically advancing with strenuous efforts, rallied closer around the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Chairman Kim Jong Un.

It is the steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to steadily consolidate and develop the Sino-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation, Wang said.

Meanwhile, the DPRK embassy gave a reception for diplomatic envoys of various countries to China on April 10.
