The Mill is a site associated with the loving care for the people shown by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, and a light industrial production base which has carried forward the history and tradition of great surge of the Korean revolution.

Kim Il Sung visited the Mill on April 18, Juche 36 (1947) and gave teachings for it to follow.

Kim Jong Il provided guidance to the Mill several times since he visited it together with anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk and personally wrote the name of the Mill.

Workers, technicians and officials of the Mill have devotedly carried out the party's policy on light industry for the past seven decades and recorded its history with creation and feats.

A meeting to mark the anniversary was held on Monday.
